0.75 miles of double bank fishing in the tidal reaches of the river Deveron from above the bridge at Banff. Beauly Angling Club

Set up for the community by Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, the club has 7 miles of the Beauly including 10 named pools from Lovat Bridge to Wester Lovat. Visitor permits available for the river and the Firth only. Day permits through Fish Pal or from Riverview House, Viewfield Avenue, Beauly, IV4 7BF (01463 783812).

The Association have several beats on the river fishing for salmon, sea trout and brown trout. The salmon beats at Ninewells, Allanton, Bluestone, Edington Mill, Hutton Bridge and Clarabad Mill.

Blairgowrie and Rattray District Angling Association

Blairgowrie and Rattray Dist AA have 5.5 miles of fishing ot the river Ericht for Salmon, Sea Trout, Brownies and Grayling. Offering day, week and season tickets. They also have Fingask Loch, a small loch on the Lunan Burn a mile from Blairgowrie with access for disabled persons, a wheely boat is available. Border Esk and Liddle Angling Club

This new club has some 18 miles of fishing on the the Border Esk and Liddle including beats at Canonbie, Langholm, Lower Liddle and Newcastleton fishing for salmon and sea trout on what was one of the best sea trout waters in the country. Remember the Border Esk is covered by English regulations so a rod licence as well as a fishing permit will be required.

Bridge of Weir AC

One of the oldest clubs established in 1874 BOWAC has fishing on the upper river Gryfe, some excellent trout water. All salmon and sea trout to be returned and only fin clipped stockies can be taken (1 per day). Google Map Reference 55.856863, -4.577964

Brora Angling Association

A limited number of permits are allowed on the Association water from the harbour to half a mile upstream, 5 named pools. March, May and September are the best months for salmon, May, July and August are the best months sea trout. Low water conditions suit this beat best. Call 01408 633268 for more information.
