The club has fishing on 2 lochs, Loch Whinyeon where any legal method (no live / dead bait, is allowed Brown trout and bank fishing only) and a smaller loch Loch Lockenbreck which is fly only, browns, rainbows and brook trout.

Glenelg and Arnisdale Angling Club
The Glenelg and Arnisdale AC has fishing for brown trout on one loch and on the lower beats of the Glenmore river.
The river has numbers of small brown trout and get runs of good numbers of sea trout after stocking with fry some years ago. There are also some salmon. Fishing is fly only and salmon are C & R only.
Membership for locals and regular visitors is inexpensive. Day tickets from the Glenelg shop.

Girvan ngling Club
Fishing from Green Bridge to above Cockranes Point over 1 mile of fishing for salmon and sea trout on this Class 2 river where anglers C & R rate last season was 98% so well done guys.
River Girvan AC offer accessible fishing for disabled anglers with a custom built platforn ajacent to car parking.
I addition to the river fishing the club have the fishing rights on Glendrissaig Reservoir for rainbows.

Club
Run by Golspie Angling Club who have 3 loch: Horn, Lunndaidh and Buidhe all holding brown trout. Fishing by boat and off the bank.
The club also has fishing for salmon, sea trout and brown trout on the river Brora.

Gress Angling Association
This once reknowned spate river was an exclusive “Victorian toffs” water but the ravages of fish farming, netting and poaching sent it into near oblivion. Gress AA have now secured a long lease on the fishing and are working hard to help the river to recovery.
It looks like a text book highland river rugged as heck, nice flowing to the sea over 7 miles from Loch Ghrais! August and September for salmon, sea trout June to October. Visitor day tickets and season tickets from Sportworld in Stornoway, 01851 705464.

Greenock Dist AC
Loch Thom
A very mature reservoir as it dates to 1827. It lies about 3 miles south of Greenock adjacent to Loch Gryfe. Its about 1.5 miles long and up to half a mile wide, 331 acres, with the deepest water at the north end being about 42 feet deep, the average depth is 19 feet. Fishing is bank only for wild brown trout in the half pound class.
