Gress Angling Association

This once reknowned spate river was an exclusive “Victorian toffs” water but the ravages of fish farming, netting and poaching sent it into near oblivion. Gress AA have now secured a long lease on the fishing and are working hard to help the river to recovery.
It looks like a text book highland river rugged as heck, nice flowing to the sea over 7 miles from Loch Ghrais! August and September for salmon, sea trout June to October. Visitor day tickets and season tickets from Sportworld in Stornoway, 01851 705464.
