The Orchy flows some 12 miles from Loch Tulla into the famous trout loch, Loch Awe. River Orchy Fishing Association offers fishing for salmon, sea trout and wild brown trout (salmon fishing is catch and release at present) using fly, spinner or bait (barbless hooks). The season is from the 11th of February to 15th of October and permits are very reasonably priced. Permits from Loch Awe Stores, call 01838 200200.

Fishing for trout on 4 lochs and salmon, sea trout on two beats of the small spate river Fleet. The lochs are Loch Muidhe which has wild and stocked brown trout ranging from half to 1.5lbs; Loch na Cinnemhuin; Lochan Preas nan Sgaithenach; Loch Salachaidh. Loch Muidhe fishes best in a south or westerly breeze with traditional highland flies and can give good dry fly fishing in the summer. The beats on the Fleet are: Polsons Beat, a large pool of about 200 yards available on Weds and Sat and Corry beat, available Mon and Weds, which extends from Davoch Bridge downstream for about 400 yards.
