Dee (Kirkcudbright)

Aird Estate near CastleDouglas

Offer 3 miles offishing on the Dee for salmon, sea trout and brown trout. The river is just setting out on the road to recovery with the Hydro Electric Company having initiated a restocking programme a couple of years ago, their view is that the potential of the river is 1000 fish a year while it has been producing less than a 100. Here's hoping the demise of the Irish drift nets will benefit the Dee.
