Llyn Alaw

A lowland lake in North Angelsey this 777 acre water is very fertile with rich feeding for the trout. Brown trout to 4lbs can be taken and rainbows can double their weight in a few months. the lake is stocked with 16500 fish a year. Fish feed heavily of corixa, shrimp and rudd fry to that gives you a clue what to fish with. Fly, spinning and bait fishing is allowed. Boat and bank fishing with float tubes now allowed. In 2006 the day ticket cost £16 while boats cost £17.50 and a wheelie boat cost £5. Permits from a machine at the water which takes coin. Google Map Reference 53.353545, -4.418428

Llyn Cefni

Near Llangefni is run by the Cefni Angling Association good offers good quality fishing. Best flies are the black coloured patterns. The club has installed pontoons to give disabled anglers good access and a wheely boat is available. Llyn Coron

An 80 acre lake well known for it's brown trout fishing and the runs of sea trout coming in from the river Ffraw. The lake hold good stocks of perch so watch out for fish feeding on fry later in the year. Day tickets and week tickets available, call 01407 81081 for further information.
