Loch Glow

6 mile north of Dunfermline in the Cleish Hills, all method fishery for rainbows, brown trout, blues and tigers with pike and perch present run by Rosyth CSSA Angling Club.

Fishing is by any legal method. Ticket prices are very reasonable (6 fish for £10 in 2018)

Lindores Loch

Formerly full of pike and perch until rehabilitated in the mid 60s, its a bonny loch. Near Newburgh, Fife, KY14 6JB.

Stocked with Rainbows, Brown and Blue trout.

I note they are dog friendly which is becoming, sadly, a thing of the past.

Lomond Fisheries

3 lochs in Fife Regional Park by Leslie, boat and bank fishing. Stocked weekly with rainbows and blues to 20lb with a good head of wild brownies.

Holl reservoir (42 acres) fly only, 12 boats , free but you might guess you should book. All brownies and pike must be returned unharmed.

Harperlea Reservoir 39 acres is now a private pike fishery.

Drumain (6.9acres), any method of the bank. All browns and pike to returned unharmed.

Under 14 yo are allowed to fish for frew if accompanied by an adult. Ticket prices are also very reasonable.

Newton Farm Loch

Just off the B946 near Wormit this well stocked loch hold natural browns, rainbows and blues. Stocked with fish of weekly with fish up to 16lbs, biggest fish caught 17lb. Call 01382 330 519 / 07778 422 581.

Upper Carriston Fly Fishery

Located near Star, Markinch, Upper Carriston is operating as a trout fishery. Stocked with rainbows, blues and holding good stocks of wild brown trout fishing from bank and 12 boats and a good lodge. A very fertile loch, good buzzers, the fish grow on well with rumours of stonking brownies.

You can get an annual C and R ticket. Call 07368 605978.
