Kinross

River Leven

There is a strange stretch of water exiting Loch Leven totally man made "The Cut" extending down to Auchmuirbridge. Over 4 k staight as a canal. Basically it drained what was a swamp. I believe you can get a permit up at the Sluice Gates on the loch. Take the B920 Ballingry to Scotlandwells until you come to a bridge, there is a road on your left before you cross the bridge which takes you to the sluice gates in Loch Leven.

North and South Queich

These two small rivers run into Loch Leven and are major spawning water for the loch trout. Cannot find any information regarding permits but many years ago I used to fish these streams with some excellent results. Up by Carnbo on the South Queich I took some 1 lb plus fish (and not to be outdone so did my mum) and not late in the season so not part of the spawning run.

Worth asking around, can anyone help.
